Festival Mild is a full bodied premium mild with a
far more complex palate than normally found in
this beer style. The beer is brewed using floor
malted Maris Otter pale ale malt, black malt and
crystal malt. The moreish bitterness is provided
by a careful blend of Fuggles, Goldings and
Challenger hops.
History:
Festival Mild was created in 1990 to support the CAMRA campaign to revive the fortunes of cask mild. First produced for a beer festival, (hence the name), it soon became established and has proved a great favourite with the customers. This is reflected in the many awards won at beer festivals.
Palate:
Pronounced fruity flavours of blackcurrant, raisins and raspberry with a lingering citric character in the finish.
Aroma:
Hoppy with blackcurrant character.
