Description: The Whyte Harte, built around 1563 although some of its timbers, taken from ships hulls date back to 1400, is a delightful village pub complete with open fires dating back to its days as a bakery. The window featured on the bar is one of the oldest existing windows and is listed with English Heritage. The ceiling carries the signatures of round the world yachtsmen and women. Open: all day
